A specialist in maritime and shore scenes, Garman Morris travelled widely to paint around the coast of Britain, as well as in France and Holland. In 1906 and 1907, he exhibited scenes of Ilfracombe and St. Michael’s Mount in the “Pictures of the Westcountry” exhibitions in Exeter. His attractive compositions and soft colour tones made his work extremely collectable and several of his coastal views were printed as postcards by the London-based publisher, C.W. Faulkner & Co. Ltd.
