As a keen walker, she spent much of her time exploring the ancient footpaths and quiet, unexpected places which defined her vision of rural England. Working in both oils and watercolours, she established an international reputation and her paintings were particularly popular in The United States, where she held several exhibitions. Wendy Stevenson trained at Mansfield and Hornsey Colleges of Art and won many awards during a highly successful career.
