This talented Irish painter of landscapes, coastal and marine scenes, who worked in both oils and watercolours, studied at The Royal Dublin Society School. He first exhibited at The Royal Hibernian Academy in 1852 and was elected a full member in 1861. Faulkner also exhibited in London at The Royal Academy and The Royal Society of Painters in Watercolours and in Edinburgh at The Royal Scottish Academy. He was a regular exhibitor at the RHA until 1870 and again, after a visit to America, between 1880 and 1887.
